We’ve had a very eventful fall so far. Last month we went to the annual Garden Writer’s Convention in Raleigh, NC. It was great to see so many familiar faces and make new friends! We also attended FarmAid in St. Louis where we met several interesting people in the local food movement.
The 2010 seed catalog is in the works. Seeds from our growers are arriving daily. It’s always an exciting, but extremely busy, time of year for us! We look forward to getting the new catalog into your hands in the near future!

Our garlic was a little delayed this year, but we got it in stock finally, and boy has it gone quickly! We are down to a few assorted partial pounds. If you want to order garlic this year, you’d better do it fast! Just give us a call at (417)924-8917 and ask what we have available.

Yes, our 10th Garden Show was August 2nd, it is now just a one day event, but is still loaded with fun, plants, contests and more.
We got to see many of our old friends, including a chance listen to a farewell performance by our friend Wayne Horsburgh of Austraila, as he makes his last summer-long tour of the USA.
Also we got to learn from cool demonstrations and enjoy old-time entertainment, just like an old fashioned fair. Make plans to come to our monthly events if you can!

Jere and I had a wonderful time setting up our new store in Petaluma, CA. The community gave us a warm welcome and were so helpful as we prepared for our grand opening. If you’re in the area, be sure to drop by our new west coast location at 199 Petaluma Blvd. North, Petaluma, CA. We offer all of our heirloom varieties as well as books, local art, herbs, handmade items, gardening tools and gifts with more items on the way!

The Sonoma County Bank building, constructed in the 1920s is now home to Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company's west coast location.

12 Amish made the journey west to build the seed racks and prepare the building for our grand opening.

A shopper browses through our new seed store, which features over 1200 heirloom seed varieties and other garden related items.
